Reliability Engineers must have tools available to predict potential motor problems and failures to minimize downtime and insure reliability. Motor Circuit Evaluation and Motor Current Analysis will provide for a comprehensive predictive maintenance program regarding the electrical characteristics of your electric motor population. Test procedures for this type of program are; MCE (Motor Circuit Evaluation) AC Standard Test, PI Profile, Step Voltage Test and RIC (Rotor Influence Test). MCA (Motor Current Analysis) Power Test, Rotor Evaluation, Demod, Eccentricity and In-Rush Start Up Test. Using these technologies will insure that you are doing everything possible to optimize the life and efficiency of your electric motors and system. Common electric motor issues include, loose and corroded connections, stator issues, rotor issues, power quality, eccentricity and load issues. Case studies involving these technologies will be presented demonstrating the benefits of both trending and using for trouble shooting assistance.
