WATER, SANITATION AND HYGIENE SERVICES BEYOND 2015: IMPROVING ACCESS AND SUSTAINABILITY

On behalf of the Water, Engineering and Development Centre (WEDC), Loughborough University, Irnam delighted to welcome you to this 38th WEDC International Conference.rnIn 2015, it is timely and fitting that our conference theme encourages us as individuals, institutionsrnand a sector, to discuss and reflect on our accomplishments and learning in respect of the targetsrnwithin the Millennium Development Goals established in 2000. This prompts us to consider ourrnrespective contributions to date. WEDC was founded here at Loughborough in 1971 by JohnrnPickford, OBE as a specialist group within the School of Civil and Building Engineering. Ourrnambition today remains consistent with his vision then, to develop knowledge and capacity in waterrnand sanitation.
