VISUAL PRODUCT CONFIGURATION TECHNOLOGY BASED ON WEB

摘要

Product Configuration is one of the core functions of PLM. By realizing visual design of product configuration, customers and designers can communicate with one another in the most efficient way, and the product development cycle can be significantly shortened. In this paper, we has made research on the product configuration and the information storage, sharing and exchanging of 3D product model, established the basic principles of Web-based product configuration, analyzed the characteristics, advantages of X3D(Extensible 3D) in visualization of the product. So it has been put forth the visualization method of product configuration model based on X3D.
