摘要

Power capacitors are the Basic Component of AC filter banks in the HVDC converterrnstation. For its huge number, the influence of the capacitors’ acoustic power on thernenvironment noise level around is obliged to be considered in the planning of HVDCrnconverter station. Precision in prediction of noise level has a close relationship withrnprecision of capacitor’s acoustic power. In this paper, the generation mechanism ofrncapacitor’s noise is analyzed. Several determination methods of acoustic power level arernsimply introduced, and their advantages and feasibility are compared among each other. Arnsimplified comparison measuring method is introduced particularly. It is a great help forrncapacitor factories to measure the noise level of power capacitor quickly and safely.
