Research on the detection of human movement by using accelerometers, gyroscopes, etc. is steadily progressing. These sensors function by setting a specific threshold value for a given movement. However, it is difficult to measure the distance travelled by humans or their position with the sensor alone. This paper explores a method of detecting human movement using machine learning on a UWB impulse radar and information from a AHRS sensor while measuring respiration, thereby offering a method that simultaneously uses data from two heterogeneous sensors during the measurement of respiration.
