Earlier was shown, that the modification of various propellants and pyrotechnic compositions processed by a method of through passage pressing by polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE, f-4), results in complex improving of their properties. In the given work by various physical methods: of an electronic microscopy, X-ray structural and X-ray microprobe analysis, double refraction, dynamic mechanical spectrometry, differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) is shown, that the reason of essential improving of the rheological, technological and physico-mechanical properties of modified compositions is the formation in their bulk at the thermomechanical processing of the spatial interpenetrative structure. This structure renders also certain influence and on ballistic properties of compositions. The degree of perfection of a structure depends as on the peculiarity of compounds of a modified material (kind of binder, quality and quantity of filler and other), and on intensity and duration of thermomechanical action. For the majority of the investigated compositions containing up to 80 % fillers, the structure with optimum structural - mechanical parameters is formed with total deformation (product of shear speed on impact time) order 1000-3000.
