About 92 kton of cement bonded briquettes made of flue dust, filter dust, fine scrap, BOF sludge coarse particles, pellet fines and briquette fines were produced and charged to the BF No 2, at SSAB Tunnplat in Lulea, 1996. With double screening before charging of 80 kg briquettes/thm no increase in flue dust generation has been noticed. At the same amount of charging indications of disturbances in the gas distribution have been seen. The components of the briquettes replaces some iron ore pellets, slag former and coke, but gives an increase in slag volume of 5-10 kg/thm.
