STUDY ON A SUPRAMOLECULAR MULTIPLE HYDROGEN BONDING SYSTEM

摘要

Recently we studied a self-complementary hydrogen-bonding recognition unit -2,5-bis(alkylamino)-l,4-benzoquinones, which has both hydrogen bond donor and acceptor on each side of benzoquinone ring to generate a ladder-like polymeric ribbon through intra- and intermolecular hydrogen bonding. This ribbon-like structure of the main chain has a critical effect on the phase behavior of this series of compounds with different side groups.
