摘要

Human errors are responsible for 67.57% ofrnaccidents in one hundred years of aviationrnhistory (1905-2005). UAV technology wasrndeveloped to eliminate human limitations andrnreduce chances of human factor in accidents.rnHowever, this experiment proved to bernquestionable, as the statistics show higherrnnumber of accidents involving human errors inrnunmanned systems. The aim of study is torndetermine causal factors in UAV accidents. Arnsample of 56 US Army UAV accidents wasrncollected. The study revealed that human factorrnwas involved in 18 (32%) accidents. It isrnrecommended that man machine interface inrnUAV technology may improve further to avoidrnsuch cases. The ability of UAV crew to adjust inrndifferent scenario may be enhanced throughrnextensive training.
