"Web 2.0" refers to a second generation of web development and design, that facilitates communication, secure information sharing, interoperability, and collaboration on the World Wide Web. The truth is that Web 2.0 is a difficult term to define, even for web experts. Usually phrases like "the web as platform" and "architecture of participation" are used to describe this term. Examples of Web 2.0 include web-based communities, hosted services, web applications, social-networking sites, video-sharing sites, wikis, blogs, mashups and folksonomies. The Internet is changing medicine and Web 2.0 is the current buzz word in the World Wide Web dictionary. Radiology in the Web 2.0 probably refers to things like globalization, clinical decision supporting softwares, social networking sites dedicated to radiology and also radiology centric blogs and wikis etc. Also concepts like PACS, DICOM, RIS, Teleradiology, Web-based PACS, HL7, IHE, HIPAA, etc again somewhere refer to the impact of Web 2.0 on radiology and often known as Radiology 2.0. In this paper we are going to have an overview on recent development of radiology in the Web 2.0 world and also demonstrate our point of view about the radiology electronic learning in the future.
