CONTACT MECHANICS STUDIES OF MONOLAYER INTERACTIONS

These preliminary tests indicate that the experimental set-up provides the necessary capabilities for the adhesion testing of heated monolayer samples. These tests will provide information relating to the energy required to separate layers that are chemically bonded by free radicals, or physically bonded by crystallites or entanglements.
