摘要

People are in a belief that using biomass replaces fossil fuels and so decreases CO_2 emission. This concept is not so clear and has to be treated very cautiously. When we consider the advantages of the biomass as a replacement of the fossil fuel to decrease the CO_2 emission we have to take into account the whole material and energy balance of the given biological system (the other GHGs also - NH_4, N_2O). The potential for achieving co-benefits between biomass production and nature conservation will have to be further explored and adapted to local environmental conditions.rnThe main target is to decrease the energy demand and to increase the energy efficiency. The primary energy source should be the renewable energy sources such as solar or wind which will not be depleted and not the biomass which will be depleted.
