The effect of several slow-pyrolysis operating parameters (peak temperature, pressure and particle size)rnon the potential stability of produced biochar was investigated for two different biomass sources: vine-shoots andrntwo-phase olive mill waste (TPOMW). Results highlighted that the effect of the above-mentioned parametersrnstrongly depend on the feedstock source: for vine-shoots, particle size was clearly the most important factor affectingrnthe potential stability of biochar, whereas pressure did not seem to play any significant role; however, for TPOMW,rnthe aromatic carbon content was maximized when pyrolysis was conducted under a moderate pressure (1.0 MPa) atrnthe highest peak temperature (600 ℃).
