The conversion efficiency of the dye-sensitized solar cell (DSC) with a new ruthenium(II)–polypyridyl complex having a 2,6-bis(4-carboxyquinolin-2-yl)pyridine ligand (NOK101[1]) was improved by cosensitization with an organic dye (D131[2]).The IPCE spectrum of the DSC with NOK101 and D131 was shown as complementary features of each dye.
