FP-02: PERSPECTIVES OF SOLID OXIDE FUEL CELLS IN THE NATURAL GAS INDUSTRY

The status of different technologies for production of electricity from natural gas are reviewed, hereunderrnespecially Solid Oxide Fuel Cells (SOFC). The perspectives, from the gas industry's point of view,rnregarding the development and commercialisation of SOFC are discussed. Finally Statoil's own SOFCrnProgram is described, with special emphasises on present status and future plans.
