An interesting section of the Report looks at noneconomicrnfactors such as overall time period, energy consumption, space demandsrnand the effect on the environment.rnThis report, and the conclusions reached, are of considerable interest to everyone whornis involved in the selection of different types of pipeline construction methods.rnHowever, technical development is proceeding at a rapid pace and I have therefore tornjudge how new technology, new regulations and trends in society will affect thernchoice of construction methods in the future.rnThe economic and technical advantages of trenchless technologies are securing anrnever increasing market share. At the same time, public authorities, as well as therngeneral public are demanding environmentally friendly and low energy workingrnmethods. For the areas that are covered by this report, trenchless technology providesrnsignificant advantages. This will doubtless increase the use of trenchless technologyrneven further.
