Renovation of manholes and similar underground sewer structures is a common practice inrnthe United States of America. While it is frequently performed in conjunction with pipe liningrnprocesses it is now more commonly performed as an independent part of general sewerrnrenovation. Beginning in 1996, the PERMACAST system for precision renovation has beenrnused in Israel, Ireland, England, Italy Norway, Sweden and Denmark. Allowing that standardsrnvary from country to country, RenCon decided that performing test installations in Denmarkrnunder close scrutiny from city engineers would benefit all European countries.
