In this work we demonstrate the enhancement of Seebeck coefficient of poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene) polystyrene sulfonate (PEDOT:PSS) ink via CarbonQuantum-Dot (CQD)-based nanocomposite material (CQDnm). Key innovations are the nanocomposite preparation and composition, and retainment of the newly formulated ink’s printability onto a flexible substrate. A relationship between Seebeck coefficient’s increase and CQDnm/PEDOT:PSS ratio was experimentally extracted. Inkjet droplets and patterning onto polyimide were unaffected by the nanocomposite addition at different ratios. Devices with Seebeck coefficient values ranging from 18.51 μV/K to 28.08 μV/K were successfully developed, verifying that the proposed approach can lead to an increase of Seebeck by 51.7%.
