Third Party Initiated WLAN Offloading

摘要

Multi-access Edge Computing is an advantageous architecture in support of Internet of Things. The distribution of cloud capabilities in the radio access network enables applications for traffic offloading. Network operator may provide the necessary data management and control functionality for access network discovery and selection, but the user makes the decision and initiates offloading. The present research proposes a method for defining mobile edge service that may be used by third party application to control offloading following a specific policy.
