摘要

This article is devoted to the in-depth analysis of efficiency for video compression algorithms during interframe coding and impairments that appearing during compression. The main purpose of studies is carrying out analysis in direction of defining requirements for instant and long-term bit-rate for video services with different criticality to video processing taking into account number of factors, particularly from different variants of inter-coding implementation. Results of such studies are related to complement information for other studies results and availability of such results useful during definition of video bit-rate requirements for streaming applications. Studies are based on usage of modern simulation technologies that is also applied for prototyping of hardware encoding devices. This provides possibility of analysis of efficiency of video encoders on different video processing stages. As result of simulation, performance of the video algorithm was analyzed; possible ways of increasing its efficiency were proposed and bit-rate requirements are formulated. The obtained results can be used for resource planning for introduction of video services and also during scientific studies in direction of video compression algorithms efficiency increasing.
