摘要

The aim of this paper is to show the potential of the X-ray tomography to measure three-dimensional concentration changes of granular material during concentric and eccentric silo discharging modes. In addition, the X-ray tomography data allows studying the evolution and size of the stagnant zone in the case of funnel flow along the entire cross-sectional area of the silo depth. This study shows that the 3D X-ray tomography data can bring an insight investigation on the density distribution across the entire cross-sectional area of a silo.
