摘要

This paper deals with coordinated design of power system stabilizer (PSS) as a supplementary controller and Thyristor Controlled Series Capacitor (TCSC) for a single machine infinite bus (SMIB) test system. The parameters of PSS and TCSC are optimized using particle swarm optimization (PSO). The non-linear simulations of the single machine infinite bus system (SMIB) shows the effectiveness of the PSO algorithm for parameter tuning of the coordinated design of PSS and TCSC. The stability of the system has been analyzed using the eigenvalue analysis. The nonlinear simulations of the system have carried out under different operating conditions of the power system.
