摘要

The aim of paper is to develop the analytical tools for evaluation of possibility and properties of laser beams combining in real conditions, particularly for propagation on medium and long distances in atmosphere. The concepts of coherent vs incoherent laser beam combing were briefly described. The review of novel methods of beam combining was given. The advantages and drawbacks of both methods were analyzed in a case of diffraction limited optical systems. The model of partial coherence was implemented to analyze array of laser beams propagation in atmosphere.
