摘要

The underwater is a crucial area, particularly for commercial divers. The duration and complexity of diver's work, makes it extremely life threatening. This issue is often disregarded since the applications used in it are extremely restricted. To reduce exposure to hazards, this paper investigates the possibility of deploying ROV to detect underwater damage using laser proximity sensor which allows for non-contact measurement to examine the surface construction of ship's hulls in favor of ensuring the structural inspections. This is a novel innovation technological application, by utilizing this technology the drone will have the ability to examine the ship and detect any damage by scanning the submerged surface of marine ships and receive accurate damage position information.
