摘要

We have proposed a pre-equalizing electro-optic modulator utilizing travelling-wave electrodes and polarization-reversed structures for the compensation of signal distortion caused by the fiber chromatic dispersion effect. In this paper, the first experimental demonstration of pre-equalization is reported. The proposed device is promising for long-haul fiber communication systems and microwave photonic applications.
