摘要

This paper gives an application of SMES to minimize fluctuations in load of a small scale hybrid power system consisting of a 400 KVA diesel generator. The Super conducting magnetic storage system consists of a thyristor bridge, a step down transformer and an inductor coil to smooth out fluctuations in the output power, load angle and minimize speed deviation. The angle at which the bridge converter of SMES is fired is controlled by PI controller. The simulation results of PI controlled and fuzzy controlled system are compared using MATLAB/SIMULINK.
