摘要

The biological effects of electromagnetic radiation are a fundamental scientific problem, which is clearly practice-oriented. Probably, there is no external factor that would have such a powerful effect on living organisms as electromagnetic radiation. It was observed that a preliminary 150-minute exposure of germinating seeds to the electromagnetic radiation with the power density of 0,066 W/m2 and frequency of 66 GHz increases their resistance to the stressful effects of negative temperatures: germination, survival, biological productivity of the total and aboveground mass have values not distinguishable from control ones. The same exposure of germinating seeds to the electromagnetic radiation with the power density of 0,066 W/m2 and frequency of 55 GHz reduces their resistance to temperature stress, worsens growth and development. The obtained results allow to develop recommendations on the irradiation of agricultural plants to enhance their adaptation potential to unfavorable environmental factors, increase productivity, improve crop quality and improve the economic and energy efficiency of crop production.
