摘要

Piston is the core component of the car engine, its shape is designed as middle-convex and varying ellipse (MCVE) to adapt to the harsh working conditions. In order to accomplish surface machining of the MCVE piston, the key technology is a fast tool servo (FTS), which can meet the requirements of high frequency response, small-range tool motion and high precision. In this paper, the machining principle and force modeling of noncircular piston were analysed firstly, a feedforward and feedback mixed PID control strategy was proposed, the PID controller that based on the mixed PID control strategy was designed and embedded in the motion controller, at last, verification experiments were carried out, the contour accuracies of all these experiments met the design requirements, it can be concluded that this control strategy is feasible and effective.
