摘要

A sensor optimal placement method based on single parents genetic algorithm is introduced. Three fitness functions are designed based on the concept of modal assurance criterion and modal energy criterion. The proposed two-step method is used to determine the number firstly and then the location of sensors. Numerical simulation of a cable stayed bridge confirms the advantage of the single parents genetic algorithm. The proposed two-step method can address the most economical number of sensors and ideal sensor position. The combined index combined with the modal assurance criterion and modal energy criterion can achieve more structural information and more ideal scheme of the sensors placement than the single criterion.
