As the baby boomer generation reaches retirement age, companies throughout the Forest Products Industry and their suppliers are working to cope with an unprecedented wave of turnover in both their engineering and skilled trade ranks. This presents a number of opportunities for younger persons entering the workforce, but also represents challenges to capture and pass on the lessons learned in the past. Some of the topics to be covered: recruitment, knowledge transfer, training, automation, and maintenance of older systems.
