摘要

High Impedance Surface (HIS) resonating at two different frequencies supported by a defected ground structure (DGS) for wideband Radar Cross Section (RCS) reduction is proposed. The perforation in the ground plane contributes to reduction in resonant frequency resulting in the overall size reduction. Comparison of RCS of the structure and Perfect Electric Conductor (PEC) is also presented. The perforation in ground contributes to the partially reflective surface with positive reflection gradient which can be utilized for the realization of wideband resonator antennas.
