摘要

This work is a detailed investigation of the performance of the PV module under varying climatic conditions. A refined approach for PV modeling which incorporates the accurate estimation of all its parameters under different operating conditions is presented. Also the equations for open-circuit voltage and maximum voltage of PV module have been put forth to correspond to realistic climatic condition. The study attempts to highlight that the model parameters usually considered to be constant, vary considerably with change in insolation and temperature. The performance of the module is also analysed using these realistic values of the model parameters. The significance of using realistic parameter values is emphasized by computing the normalized errors in output powers for the models using constant and realistic parameter values.
