摘要

In this article, performance of wind based power generation system is discussed using permanent magnets synchronous generator (PMSG) with power quality issues. Developed simulink model includes a model of turbine based on wind technology, model of synchronous generator based on permanent magnet and a model based on drive train. The developed power through the wind farm is supplied to the three phase linear and non-linear load. The power electronics based shunt connected custom power device is used to reduce the power quality problems. A DSTATCOM injects a compensation current at the point of common interface to correct the power conditioning issues. The main aim of this paper is to reduce the harmonics and compensation of reactive power because of non-linearity in loads and manage required voltage at the point of common interface (PCI). This Distribution Static Compensator is controlled through the kernel incremental meta learning algorithm. A simulation using MATLAB/Simulink environment have been carried out to demonstrate the power generation system and control approach used for the power quality features.
