Measurement of a 4-port MIMO antenna system

Cognitive radio systems require multi-port MIMO antenna systems which cover a large frequency range. For electrically small to moderate size platforms, where instantaneous bandwidth is limited, MIMO antennas need to be tunable. The design of a geometrically symmetric 4-port MIMO antenna system, reported in the present paper, uses electrically tunable matching network. Radiation modes are tuned over frequency bands in the range [470, 790] MHz. Details on the measurement setup and some measurement results are given.
