The concern of beekeepers over the presence of GMOs in flower pollen, harmful agents and negative factors of apiculture products like honey, has led Chilean agribusiness to use new forms of responsible and sustainable management in the production of honey for export. This allows for the delivery of a high quality product to the market and ensures its safety. One way to address the above situation is to advise organic beekeepers about beekeeping activity in the Maule Region. Using information technology as well as prediction methods and tools, a web system has been developed, based on a modular architecture, with the aim to guide Maule beekeepers by reporting predictions about the phenological stages of plants of interest and incorporating the zoning of the Maule Region for the development of organic beekeeping.
