摘要

In this paper, a miniaturized CPW-fed slot antenna loaded with spiral ring resonator (SRR) has been presented. A pair of SRR has been introduced at the end of the half wavelength slot to reduce the resonant frequency without degrading the antenna performance like bandwidth, cross-polarization level, gain etc. The resonant frequency of the slot antenna is 4.09 GHz. The slot antenna without loading any SRR is resonating at 4.09 GHz. When two spiral rings at the end of the slot are introduced, a frequency shift of 4.09 GHz to 2.94 GHz is observed. The radiation pattern is also seen to be unaffected by the presence of the SRR.
