Describing the history of the almost 70 years of existence (1932-2000) of the Magneti Marelli factory in Pavia (Italy) gives the opportunity of reviewing important steps of the evolution of electronic technology and manufacturing in Italy / Europe, from electronic components for radio and television receivers to electronic control units for cars.
