There are several methods to store water for future use underground. These include aquiferrnrecharge, aquifer reclamation and aquifer storage and recovery. For the first two methods, the conceptrngenerally involves the introduction of water upstream of a withdrawal point. These types of projects arernnumerous and the water maybe a variety of qualities creating potential issues associated with treatment.rnThis paper outlines three case studies that looked at costs of recharge projects and the benefits gained byrnthe users.
