摘要

Although no studies have been done regarding how closely the shovel operator approximates a mathematically optimal path, the author suspects that the best operators perform a close fit approximation more often than not. The time and effort required to engineer an autonomous solution today may yield no better solution than the best operator (i.e. a trainer) can without unreasonable costs.
