摘要

The winding function theory is a proper tool to analyse machine magnetic constraints in an analytical way. This paper deals with guidelines to construct the winding functions for short pitched fractional slot concentrated winding machines (FSCW) with arbitrary phase number. The guidelines are applicable for FSCW machines with single layer or double layer winding layout. Further, the paper proposes an analytical way to calculate the flux linkage between the rotor field and stator winding of a surface mounted permanent magnet machine using the winding function. The results are compared to a conventional distributed winding design. Additionally an elaboration of the main harmonic inductance including harmonic leakage inductance for a FSCW and a distributed winding (DTBW) is performed.
