A participation matrix based interaction analysis is established for a two-input DC-DC converter and then a diagonal controller is designed. The control-loop interactions are estimated and then suitable controlling input-output pairs have been identified. By performing state-space analysis various useful transfer functions are obtained and transfer function matrix is form ulated, which is useful to identify the loop-interactions. Digital diagonal controllers are designed through an effective transfer function method. Load division and bus-voltage regulation features are demonstrated, both in simulation and experiment, on a 60 Watt, 12/36 V to 24 V prototype dc power distribution system. Simulation and measured results are in agreement with the analytical predictions.
