This work addresses the directional-of-arrival (DOA) estimation issue of noncircular sources with central symmetrical array (CSA) geometry. In order to make full use of noncircularity of impinging sources and central symmetry of CSA, a simple restriction of data rearrangement is imposed on the signal model. Through this signal model, steering vector spaces (SVSs) can be separately estimated. Based on estimated SVS, we provide a LS solution for DOA estimation. Proposed method is capable of handling any CSA geometry, such as ULA, UCA. It is also suit for both 1D and 2D DOA estimation. At the same time, the proposed algorithm has a low computational complexity. Numerical examples are provided to show the effectiveness and good performance of the proposed algorithm.
