摘要

Controlled source electromagnetic sounding is an important method in detecting hydrate deposits reservoirs,especially applied in the seafloor.The feasibility and sensitivity of this method is examined by 1-D forward modeling.Based on several 1-D resistivity models,the electromagnetic response of E-field amplitudes is calculated with different transmitter-receiver distance by horizontal electric dipole source.The results indicate that receivers in marine controlled source electromagnetic sounding have to receive weaker electromagnetic signals than controlled source electromagnetic methods on land,and the thinner the thickness of seawater is,the better signals will be received.In addition,the hydrates model including resistive layer is more sensitive to E-field,which can be easily distinguished by 1-D EM forward modeling.These modeling results give evidence of effectiveness of this method to detect hydrate deposits and provide quantitative information in marine gas hydrate exploration.
