摘要

A zero-current transition low source current fourth order boost converter is proposed in this paper. It provides voltage gain close to conventional boost converter and reduced source current ripple. In comparison to the zero-current transition schemes reported in literature the proposed scheme yields better features in terms of reduction in the peak current stress in the main switch and less switching losses against wide source and load variations. Various modes of operation are identified and a steady-state analysis is established. In order to verify the effectiveness of the proposed zero-current transition feature PSIM simulations are carried out and then verified through experiments. A 12 to 28 V, 30 Watt prototype is considered both in simulation and experiment. Simulation and experimental results are in close agreement with each other.
