Hydrogen gas is used widely in scientific research and industry. Nanosized H2 sensors that can quickly and sensitively respond to hydrogen gas are vital for the safe use of all hydrogen-based applications[1,2]. Hydrogen sensors based on Pd nanostructures show promising results in speed, sensitivity, and ultralow power consumption[1-3]. A variety of hydrogen gas sensors based on palladium (Pd) nanowires have demonstrated high sensitivities and fast response times[1-3]. The exploitation of Pd nanostructures, however, face challenges in nanofabrication, utilization, and achieving ultra small transverse dimensions.
