The comsol Multiphysics is used to simulate the evanescent field sensor of optical fiber. By calculating and analyzing the relationship between the transmission intensity and RI in the evanescent field, a tapered fiber sensor model has been established. The investigation will provide a reliable basis to guide the experiment and optimize high performance evanescent field sensor.
