New video processing methods to improve apparent gloss

摘要

We have developed new video processing methods that sharp brightness gradients are restored by Retinex theory and low dynamic ranges of display devices are improved by physiological effects, to display images with high gloss. We determined proper processing conditions by using objective evaluation results of apparent gloss.
