The calibration of accelerometers and gyros error coefficients is an effective way to reduce navigation error of Ring Laser Gyroscope (RLG) Position and Orientation System (POS). To reduce the complexity of the traditional calibration method, an improved scheme of six-position hybrid calibration method in full temperature was proposed based on the error model in accelerometer and gyro channels of RLG POS. The coefficients including scale factors, biases and misalignment errors were calibrated by 12 groups of static data and 6 groups of dynamic data, which were collected at each constant temperature point. Experimental results show that the calibrated coefficients and the stationary navigation errors of the proposed method are close to those of the traditional one. The proposed method improves the efficiency of the calibration without any loss of the precision.
