摘要

The insulator leakage current is an import parameter to monitoring the operating status of insulator. However, there are large volumes of acquisition data and large number of insulators. Meanwhile, the system should meet the real-time monitoring. These reasons make efficient compression of the leakage current data is particularly important. This paper is based on the analysis of the basic theory of fractal compression. It uses segmented-IFS fractal algorithm to suit the leakage current monitoring, and analyses the method of calculating the key parameters in the algorithm. The experiments show that this method with good results on compression efficiency and restoration of the signal.
