摘要

In order to get the accurate milling forces in the process, a milling force calculation method of helix cylinder cutter has been studied and put forward based on the discrete ideas. The general force can be calculated by the vector sum of all single tooth force. Based on the milling force model, the polynomial milling force coefficient model is built in the different cutting conditions. Meanwhile, the fast and effective identification method of model coefficients is provided, which combines the virtues of both orthogonal design theory and partial least-square regression (PLSR) method. The results of the simulations and experiments are provided in the end of the paper.
